the bus

Today I rode the bus home from work. And for the first time in a very long time in Southern California, I felt oddly communal. Now, for some of you living in other parts of the world, taking the bus may not seem like such a strange thing. Here, in Southern California, it’s not often that you would take a bus, and even less often that you would ( Read more... )

one day i will test riding a bus in california. it will be interesting to see if there is a difference to german busses. the fact that you don`t have a car reminds me of my boyfriend, who also didn`t have one until i bought him an old bmw. maybe you and my boyfriend have parallel lives. you look a little like him...

What a happy surprise to see you're updating again! You've written what two journal entries in the time I've known you, one of which was before I was even aware you were on LJ, so that doesn't count.

So does this mean you've fallen prey to more evil feminine influence? Maybe now you can update your friend list or at least share how you managed to cite yourself in your friend list.

;)

In California people are known for their cars more then their homes..

Actually let me rephrase that..

You'll more likely to find someone living in an rv while driving an escalade then have a nice house and just a basic car. Californians seem to be a lot of emphasis on their cars.. dunno why really.. just seems to happen. So yeah.. the public transit system does seem like a rare thing. But I used to do it all of the time and it was quite interesting.. in a good way.

Anywho.. saw your lj name on a friends journal and figured I'd say.. boo..

Soo like boo..

Have you passed through an RV Park lately because what your saying is so true. My bofriend and I were counting the corvettes and porches at an RV park at Lake Elsinore last weekend. It was unbelievable.

I'm comparing California with Oregon. In oregon people seemed to be more worried about how much land they have and what kind of home they had first. Then they worried about their cars. So you'd often times see these people with beautiful homes but really beat up cars. While here it's vice versa. It makes sense though. California is known to be about the bling and homes aren't considered to be as blingy as an escalade with spinners.
