As if the spider bite wasn't enough, my mother also had to get this mole removed. It apparently has been changing color and shapes for months, but she didn't find it important enough to look into. Why the fuck is that? Because she has my idea of "As long as I don't know about it I don't care". I'm a nervous wreck waiting for these test results. She ( Read more... )

i hope everything with your mom works out ok. my mom had skin cancer, if they catch it early enough they can just cut it off & stop the spreading. my mom had to go on some medicine, but it wasn't for that long & even though it really sucked & she had to do all this cancer stuff she's fine now.
as long as your mom's cancer didn't spread all over her skin theres a pretty high chance she'll recover :)
on another note i went to your work yesterday to visit you. you weren't there, i made an ass out of myself in front of some guy that works there, then almost knocked over the dvd display because i was thinking "oh my god, i made such an ass out of myself i have to leave as quickly as possible"

I'm sorry to hear about your mum...hope she will be okay.
Skin cancer & the mole thing are often not very bad, comparatively speaking; and are often curable, or at least containable. (Speaking from family experience) Although I'm sure that's not really much comfort to you, coming from a stranger, thought I would mention it. :)

My mother died from massive internal cancer a long time ago...I know that the worry about any illness, especially cancer, is a very hard thing to deal with.

We spoke quite some time ago. I'm not sure you remember the fellow who offered you his kidney when it seemed you were in need of one. I do hope that worked out for the best!
