What just happened in my neck of the woods? Well, I came in from four hours of mowing my lawn to hear on the news that Wisconsin's state constitutional band on same-sex marriage has been struck down at the federal court level. Needless to say, I voted against that amendment back in 2006, but to no avail. I'd like to say I'm less ashamed of my once proud state, but I'm sure our moron of a governor will waste bucket loads of our tax dollars defending this benighted law. Mind you, our state was too broke to expand Medicaid or set up a healthcare exchange, according to the Governor. But it's a start.

I'll be proud of Wisconsin for you, and hope your moron I mean governor decides that discretion is the better part of virtue. Too bad he doesn't have much virtue...

Hey Laud. I've been just as neglectful of LJ as you have this year. Living in Denver now, and loving it. :-) Though I'm probably still just passing through on my way to the west coast.

It's odd how things like that can keep you from doing something you might otherwise enjoy. If you're anything like me, it's because you just can't quite face the connected event, which is fine, if regrettable. Don't worry on our account, though. I'm glad to hear 2014 is unrolling better.
