I'ma lefty too

I always hated in school when they only had those right handed pencil sharpeners. You know. The screwed-to-the-wall-over-a-trash-can kind. Ok, I'm just bored.

yeah if they turned it over and put it in the wall the other direction it would still have worked just fine :D

I always hated those right handed desks with the hand rest on the wrong side; well right handed side.

Still if any of that had been correct for us lefties then either the pencil sharpener would be on the rong side for all those right handed people or us lefties would have to sit in some special place in the room or get up out of the desks on some side.

lol I don't know about you but I prefered to just not make a big deal out of it. lol THe only time I made a big deal is when they were trying to teach me to write and it felt very wrong the way they wanted me to do it. So nope I don't write over handed like most lefties. I made sure I wrote like everyone else only with the other hand. :)

OK I know the feeling on the bored thing lol ;)

In my 6th grade music class we had assigned seats- and there was one left handed desk. Every class period the teacher would make me drag the left handed desk across the room. Why the hell didn't she just put me in the spot the left handed desk was? She was a real loopy one o_O;

hey I think I had something like that happen too. I was like wouldn't it be better if I just sat over there. but NO!!! some stupid teacher had to point out the lefty and make me feel even worse for being the only one. lol where did they find those fools from anyways (the teachers) I wonder if they thought they were being helpful.

As an adult no one really seems to care or notice, and I feel better about it now. lol hell my PC desk here isn't like left handed or anything. So I wonder why they do that to kids. lol

wierd

I never had one of those until high school. When I was taking my admissions test I had one of those and it was the hardest thing to do. I had to sit in a different way so that I could write and so the guy behind me had a clear view of my test so he just copied the whole thing :p

I think living in a world where right-handed people are dominant has made us smarter. In a way, most of us lefties are ambidextrous because we just HAVE to use the things made for righties!
I hope that made sense :-p

Actually. Right handedness is dominant over left handedness. Way back in the day, remember punnet squares in biology? To be a lefty you have to have two left handed characteristics, to be right you only need one. If you mom is lefty, and your dad is righty, you will either have a 0% chance of being lefty, or a 50% chance. Visuals....
L R
L LL RL 50% chance.

R R
L RL RL 0% chance.

If both your parents are lefties, you will be one too!

L L
L LL LL 100% yay!

also, the left side in history was associated with the devil, the devil sits on your et soldier, people were alwasy buried on the right side of the rive etc. so many were taught to write with the right hand which was seen as the more correct and less devilish way of writing! and the word left in latin means like evil or devil or something i heard one time too.
