mirror writing.

hi all!

i'm new to the community. i'm female, 23 years old, a linguistics major, and left-handed. i'm probably completely right-brained or possibly mixed-brained.

anyhow, i was going through my old kindergarten schoolwork and my main "needs improvement" issue was my penmanship.

Sometimes a z still looks correct backwards to me.

i dont do it by accident, but i like writing backwards, like when im bored in class or something. for some reason i have to think about the Ns. Writing backwards is a good skill to keep up, you never know when you might need it. I shall have to practice more.

At my school someone did a survey where they compared left and right handed people at doing mirror writing, and us lefties all came out much better at it.

I mixed up my 'b's and 'd's quite often. And erm....I sometimes mixed up the arrangement of the letters of a word and get myself all confused about the spelling! Is that counted?

I am a lefty and have never tried mirror writing. I have a left handed friend who writes both styles fluidly. She said she never learned how to mirror write but has always been able to do that.
