initial thoughts on "Somewhere Else"

It's finally here! Early impressions, after ~3 spins:

The Other Half, The Wound -- Very good, tight, chiming & rocking. Great vocal melodies & musical twists and turns! The drum and guitar sounds in Other Half are fab.

Somewhere Else / A Voice From The Past / No Such Thing -- crazy good! The title track in particular is spellbinding and up

i thought it whole thing was awful.. very very very dissapointed...Marbles was the best thing they'd done in forever and now their back on the downward spirla yet again. I'll try listening to it again in a few dazya...but there wasn't a single bit of it that stuck with me while i listned to it this morning on the way to work.

Just read your own post, Martine... See, I thought "Radiation" was great, so maybe that explains our difference in opinions on "Somewhere Else"! Sorry that you didn't like any of it... :(

I'll try again in a few days... it might work yet. Some of Marbles i had to warm up to as well.

I just wanted another Fantastic Place, or Ocean Cloud, or Neverland. I think Somewhere Else is gonna get alot of dot.com comparisons too.. And the only stuff i like on dot.com is Deserve.
