How I roll.

So, several asked - here it is, the events of February 15th, 2008.

We went from work (took off a little early, my boss knew what was going on.. hehe) to Guiseppe's in Pismo Beach, one of Alexis' favorite restaurants.  After a nice dinner there, we went to Sycamore Mineral Springs, where we had a scheduled couple's massage at 8pm - the thing is, they ( Read more... )

Women are strange like that. They tend to band together and defend each other, whereas men are always trying to beat each other down. That's a short comparison of my workplace v. my wife's anyway. :) The "you did good" looks are then inevitable, as you have done something nice for one of their own.

Also. The metallurgist demands details of the ring. Material, carat weight, number of stones, etc. :)

But I also have to say that you're lucky that your plan went well. Mine got aborted halfway through and I had no backup. So it went from "romantic hike, alone in the woods" to "Monday night laundry time at the house." S was so caught off-guard by it that I had to ask *twice*, about 3 hours apart.

C'est la vie!

Thanks! :)

Taking pics of a diamond ring is pretty tough-- especially AFTER you've given it to her. :)

Yeah, good pictures of a ring aren't easy to take. Brad, try using the Macro option on your camera (assuming you're using a point-n-shoot) - it usually has a picture of a flower.

Sweet. Congrats again!

(The best proposal story I have is from a friend of mine. She was cleaning the cat's litterbox on their anniversary when her husband arrived home from work. With roses. But she wasn't really paying attention, because she was cleaning out the litterbox and didn't have any hands to take the roses. And then he asked her to marry him - but she couldn't even take the ring until she was done with the litterbox.

Looking forward to pictures. =)

(And the squealing thing never stops - women still ask to see my ring, even strangers.)
