Not exactly a new occurrence, but  normally I get some advance warning. Recently, however, he's 'hired' his daughter as his assistant while Kelly is on maternity leave.

Well not if we handle it correctly. They're not terribly bright - we could simply tell them all that they've won a prize of a free ticket to some exotic tropical locale and then bribe the pilots to head north instead of south. Of course, there are still some flaws with the plan, but I'm just getting started.

To avoid a mutiny, we'd have to give the good assistants who aren't incompetent the same sort of promise of a tropical vacation and actually deliver on it for them. We'd also have to ensure the economy wouldn't come to a grinding halt for the period of time the assistants were all enjoying paradise. And then there's the matter of raising the capital necessary for bribing people to go along.

Too much work.
