Just a general question~
So, when I saw that Lichtenstein antholo, I was like "DO WANT" but then saw the price and almost wept. Why is it that expensive? The Russia antholo I got from you was only $20 (not including shipping) and it's a good 40 pages bigger.

Sorry if I seem so rude about what prices you chose, but that price just jumped out at me.

You're not being rude at all! The prices I set are based simply on the price I had to pay. It's easy to set reasonable prices on new items from events, but the costs for used items fluctuates and depends on how much I have to pay the stores or Y!JA sellers.

Used Hetalia doujinshi are just a bit more expensive than most, and anthologies are quite pricey. That Lichtenstein anthology is normally more expensive, but I saw a copy at one of the smaller stores that was more reasonable; that's why I could pick it up and offer it here.

A case in point: I picked up a beautiful mini-anthology for a client at the latest FKMT event, and I was able to charge the regular price. Last week a copy sold for triple the amount I paid at one of the stores, and another is currently the subject of a tough bidding war on Y!JA. Doujinshi really IS serious business! :)

That makes sense, since doujins and anthologies aren't printed in big numbers. So of course their price will go up over time.

I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't spend so much on one book. XD While the most expensive order I had was around 90 bucks, that was for like 6 normal-sized doujins. So, I can only hope someone with more money to burn would get that anthology and scan it for all to enjoy....I wish. ;_;

And serious business indeed. I remember seeing these Sailor Moon "normal-size" doujins go for 60 bucks, which took me by surprise since I have gotten one a few years ago that was way cheaper. But I'm guessing it depends on the circle and the age of it and whatnot.

6 doujins for 90 bucks? Sounds like you got a good buy!

And that final price prolly depends on how serious the bidders were too. If you get two or even three people who want that item no matter what the price is sure to go up. I keep a close watch on certain titles and it's amazing, how much people will pay for their heart's desires...

Is there anything in your collection that you're especially proud of?
