Oi, so there's a bunch of snow faeries or somethin' around here'ttebayo!

I guess they told the other faeries to go away but--

I never thought weather would like, uh-- be controlled by faeries. I guess they're like, with the animus guys.

While there are faeries, they don't control the weather. Snow just happens when it's cold and humid enough. Just like any other world.

Faeries are just small creatures. Typically they're considered magical, but it they could just be a different kind of sentient being with a specific diet. The tooth faeries feed off of calcium, for example. That's what is in your teeth and bones. Most kinds should be able to fly, maybe having an ability related to their habitat.
