What you described is reason #245354 that I don't watch the VMA's or MTV anymore. I haven't even seen Britney's new video, but now I want to watch it just to see how bad it is. Perhaps I'm a bit masochistic? *laughs*
Tokio Hotel! I've heard about them so much in the various Jrock fandoms (mainly from fans claiming how they're trying too hard to be visual kei), so I decided to check out their music. They're not bad, but I don't see or hear anything too special about them.
You won't have to worry about hurricanes, but you'll have to be careful for earthquakes. I think I'd rather stay here because you can predict and track hurricanes, but you'll never know when an earthquake is coming before it's too late. >_>
I think I may be a bit masochistic as well because I only watched the video the morning of the VMAs just so I could see how bad it was. xDD But what I don't get is that she's had some ok videos before. (Well, they arn't like AWESOME but they took work) This one..well..it's just her and a bunch of slutty girls kinda dancing..and that's it...yeahhh...
I heard about Tokio Hotel through j-rock as well. They actually had an ad for their album in a Cure magazine I have. But this was when they were really young and the lead singer dindn't have his huge lion mane. lol I don't really think they are trying to be V-kei but the lead singer can get a little annoying with his look. (In almost all of this pictures he's doing this thing with his eyebrow..its just like come on man...) But I don't care becauses he's hot. xDD
Yay you like Tokio Hotel! And I have to agree, I only listen to their German stuff too. I'm happy they're getting popular but nobody even listens to the good stuff. :/
