I haven't really kept up with the X-titles over the past few months aside from X-Factor (which isn't really an X-title) so I am not completely up on the whole Schism thing. Rick Remender is better than Mike Carey and Kieron Gillen. Only Jason Aaron equals Remender and Parker in awesomeness. Though, I think sometimes Aaron delves a little too much into the Alan Moore mind-set, but not as much as Brian Bendis.

I really can't say anything as to the quality of any of the X-writers. I do like Parker and I'm considering picking up his Thunderbolts run. I read a couple issues of X-Force when Remender took over and they did the Apocalypse storyline. I thought the series was pretty good but the only character I cared about was Warren (who I've liked ever since he went back to the metal wings). I might pick up the Dark Angel Saga when it comes out in trade though.
