Given that the season finale aired a couple days ago, I decided to give my thoughts on Young Justice. For starters, I think it's great that we're just going straight into season two. Summer reruns are lame anyway.

I like this series. I really wasn't sure how this was going to go when I watched the first few episodes but the series got better as the season went on. The characters I didn't like got better as time went on and the whole plot with The Light was pretty awesome. It's a feat that the writers could keep something like that going for a whole 26-episode season without having the audience realize what's coming and losing its surprise factor. I think all the team members finally came together well and having them fight their mentors in the season finale was a nice touch. There were also some nice cameos this season and some fun nods to DC continuity even though this series takes place in its own DC universe.

I'm still not completely okay with some stuff. For starters, there needs to be a cap on the team roster. I can already predict that Blue Beetle will get on the team and I've heard rumors that Cassie Sandsmark might show up. If we're going to get more people on the team then it's time to cut some people loose otherwise the roster will get way too big. I'm also not completely okay with the direction for Red Arrow and him being a Cadmus clone. I'm willing to see where this goes but I'm still on the fence about it.

Still, I think this show is good and it's really picked up steam as its gone along. The series can be really hilarious when it wants to be without the humor being geared too much towards children and it can also be really poignant. My biggest concern with season two is that a lot of the team's issues have been resolved, particularly the whole issue of trust and secrets, so we'll have to see what the writers do for an encore. I assume they have something spectacular in mind.
