I lost 6 months worth of pictures and didn't realize it till about a week ago. So I guess I learned my lesson and am now backing up at least once a month. Also I am sending copies to some family members just in case. LOL. I do not want this to happen again. My wife dosen't seem to realize that my memory is so bad that if I do not have these

Ouch. I "know of" (wink wink) a program you might be able to use to get them off an HD, if that'll help.

Otherwise, I'm sorry for your loss...it really does suck when you lose stuff like that...I've only lost files, but not too many memories (fortunately). Sorry, Dave.
