As said to tinted_glass in the comments below: I must admit I'd have been a lot happier with Dean-being-turned-into-a-vampire were it not for the blatant Twilight (Twi-hard) reference in the episode title. I have no issues with vampires or Dean being turned into one - in fact I think it has the potential to be deliciously hilarious and cannot wait for the fun. But while I generally like Supernatural's pop-culture references; I always think SPN tends to push the envelope a bit when it comes to poking fun at fandom, and they don't always do it in a particularly tasteful way. One's mileage will vary, of course. While I thought bringing in the book!Supernatural fandom was a fun concept, and fine in dialogue, I felt that the fan-portrayals had a little more of mockery to them than I liked. Just the way I felt personally; I don't really think this is a common view.
