There seems to be something in the air abou this sport - and I am not in it at all - normally. But just a few months ago I saw something in an auction website in newcastle, NE England: house in the Harz mountains (holiday area, skiing and hiking, in former East Germany but close to border), 3 beedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, lounge, garage, little garden - reserve £5,000.
I thought I was dreaming. Waited two days. Nothing. THen, suddenly someone with 5,000 - ten minutes, someone: 5,500 - then 8 minutes, someone 6,000. One day: nothing. So, I jumped in with both feet: 7,500 - and got it.
And now, I'm a house owner - just because I couldn't resist a joke - which it isn't! Well - I don't mind at all. It's alovely area, and the house looks nice on photos. But even if it is a dump - the ground alone must be worth more. I'll see in June.
It's just a bit far for commuting from Hong Kong - but i got kicked out of teaching for senility anyway - actually, just because I turned 60.
Funny thing - maybe real fun.
