this entry is awesome and makes me so happy for you that y'all made the right move and it all worked out. reading over this post and all of y'all's fb posts makes me happy for you.

any advice on starting your own editing side business? i've done some recently and got paid quite well but don't know how to go about finding other clients. my one client is a former boss/mentor and i'm not sure if i should ask her to recommend me to others or what. it makes me feel a lot better to do something that i think is fun and get paid to do it.

Hey, sorry, I just saw this now! LJ apparently doesn't send me notifications anymore. Most of the editing clients I've gotten I met through an online writing group, but it's specific to SF/F writers and you need to have a professional sale to join. I also got two gigs through Craigslist, though that takes more digging. For fiction, it couldn't hurt to post ads on open writers' forums like AbsoluteWrite. For non-fiction, not really sure. Good luck!
