Musings

It was a sunny day in Blood Gulch, but then again what day wasn't. The Reds for whatever reason hadn't attacked in over two weeks and Church was taking the time to go for a walk in his newly painted robotic body. Possessing the body itself was starting to become easier. Something which was both good and rather depressing at the same time.

As he walked he ended up in front of the still fresh graves.

As odd as it sounded, he hadn't actually had time to mourn his own death. One minute he was dead and the next he was thrown back into the action...though in a less physical way. The chaos that followed after he'd died had kept him too busy to think about stuff like that. Hell, he hadn't even remembered his own body until he saw it laying there in the dirt.

Then Tex died and everything had seemed to slow down after her death. He hadn't expected that. He figured that since he'd come back as a ghost (through whatever means) she would come back too. He didn't think that she'd pass up the chance (if it was at all optional) to come back and annoy him.

But a week had passed, and then another and still there was no trace of the hot tempered ghost he was waiting to see. He supposed that he shouldn't be surprised that Tex wasn't planning on staying, after all, when had she ever....But still, he had a strange sort of feeling that he would have realized if she was gone for good...and he didn't feel that.

If she was a ghost....perhaps she'd gone somewhere...somewhere else. Hell, he didn't know, he didn't even understand how this ghost thing worked anyway. All that mattered was that he was dead and Tex was still gone.

“Even dead this place sucks...” Church sighed, he took one look at the graves before turning and walking back into the base.

As he walked into the base a figure slowly came into view. Tex appeared briefly, only for a moment. She had a job to do, Omega was in one of the soldiers here and she had to find him. Reveling herself at the moment would only make her job more difficult. Church was no doubt going to hate her for the ploy but if it got rid of Omega then that was something she was willing to deal with. With that thought she became transparent again. She had work to do and she was starting to have some suspicions about where Omega might actually be.
