Ok, so one Saturday night while hanging with swtalmnd, rubyrosered and faradheia I was challenged to make a fandom version of the questionnaire that is asked of the Inside The Actors Studio guests and make a meme of it. ROTFLMAO!!! Some of your answers were just too funny! And I had no idea that those were your OTP! I guess we spent so much time discussing Ares in the Temple-like setting that we never discussed the fanfiction pairings we liked best. LOL! Although we did discuss at length the ones we didn't! *snicker*

And I agree so much about the end of HtLJ - loved Herc and Iolaus walking away together, but not the way they left Ares. It was just so out of character - even for the show's writers!

LOL! It was a fun one to do. Made me think about stuff in the fandom that I haven't thought about for a while. For all the bad storylines and weird dead endings, those were great characters and fun times.

I haven't seen very many stories pairing Ares and callisto, but they seem like a natural pair to me, maybe before she turned into Angel Callisto. She and Xena had an antagonistic love/hate relationship similar to the Ares/Xena love/hate relationship, so I could see her teaming up with Ares during the time of The Furies to get rid of Xena.

I started a story a while back on the Ares/Alecto of the Furies thing. It was a "prequel" of The Furies and told the backstory of the relationship/sexual attraction between them and why she was so willing to do his bidding to drive Xena crazy. I loved that ep and all the sexual tension between Ares and Alecto.

LOL! Love your answers, hun! I totally agree with you about the mean fans in some fandoms. I've also taken plenty of crap from some fans in the Xena fandom for being an Ares/Xena/Gabrielle shipper and not writing any slash. I understand the rationale for slash and appreciate those who do it well, because I just can't. I can't write something I don't have a frame of reference for. It would be like me trying to write a memoir about my experiences as an Afro-American woman as seen through my blue eyes! It pisses me off to no end when het or gen fic is considered "inferior" to slash. It's all a matter of taste in my eyes. I'm not saying all slash writers and lovers see it that way, but there are two distinct camps within the Herc/Xenaverse and they're not always nice to each other
