Slowly Becoming Discouraged..................................

....................to keep translating stuff. >_____________>

I mean, I dunno, I feel guilty when someone points out my mistakes. It's fine that people notice it but it makes me feel guilty, because other people are reading those translations and I mislead them like crazy. I don't want to get someone to edit my stuff coz it would mean I'M not doing ( Read more... )

I understand your feelings.
But you know, your mistakes don't seem that big to me, and people learn by mistakes. (Look at my translations! They're crap. ^^;)
If you want to stop, you can, of course, but I think that would be sad. :)
People appreciate your work!

I just feel sooooo terrible when I end up misleading people. >________< It's okay if I'm the only one who reads and then I'm corrected, but when people read the full-of-mistakes version but not the revised one, it makes me feel guilty. Especially when for example one line is supposed to be positive but I make it negative and it causes others to feel bad. :(

Well, but hat happens to everyone, even "professionals". If it were not for your translations, most people here couldn't read those articles at all!
And I think your feelings are good, because they show you really care. You'll become really good if you just don't give up. :)

You are so right. I CAN'T GIVE UP! xDDDDDDD Heck, there's even a Japanese idiom for that: "Ryouyaku kuchi ni nigashi," which means "Good medicine tastes bitter in the mouth." How true. :)))))))))

Thanks so much for the encouragement~ <3 <3 <3

Wha-- When the hell did people say that to you??? D:< I loooovvvee your handmade stuff, uguuuuu~~ If you were my friend in real life as in we're in the same country, I'd bug you EVERYDAY to make me something, anything! :))))))))) Uwaaa. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Right now I'm thinking of ways to improve without asking for anyone's help. UGH, but if worse comes to worse I'll call for a *secret* weapon: my friend who was born in Japan and studied Japanese for 8 years. :)))))))))

Thanks so much for the hugs and support~~ <3 <3 <3 <3

D: Don't worry, people point out my mistakes too. No ones perfect :D
And I think you put much more work and effort than I do. I personally dislike translating magazines and stuff that's why I mostly only translate lyrics lol
So don't feel down about it <3

btw, mind if I add you? XD

Sorry about coming out of nowhere lol

Hahaha yeah. :) I've done a bit of soul-searching and realized that I shouldn't be bummed out about my mistakes. However, I still can't stand those who correct me in a very straightforward manner. I'm not really looking for things like smileys or anything, but some people don't even say a simple "Hey," or "Hi," before they give a correction, and I also hate those who correct me but don't even bother to say anything about the rest of the translation. It makes me feel as though they just stopped by to tell me I suck instead of stopping by to read the articles themselves. AUGH.

I sounded mad just now but I'm not *that* pissed. :))))))))) Thanks for the encouragement~~ <3
And no, I don't mind, but I will add you first~~ <3 <3

Just a little before you commented, someone pointed out something they didn't agree with my translation lol And there have been people who point out mistakes the same way they did to you so I go D< I know I shouldn't but it pisses me off as much as it does to you lol It feels better when they tell you in a friendlier manner..Well, I welcome corrections with open arms though XP

Thanks for the add! ♥
