Private Post: Sunday in Ireland and Back

Merlin, I'm fagged.

I confess I snuck out for the afternoon to, er, do a little bit of pre-inspection for the cottage in Beal an Mhuirthead. The place was fine when we left there in August, and it should be fine now, with a little help from Gil and some unwitting help from--well, best not go into that, even in a private entry.

I've had a word with Tandy, the house elf at the cottage, to be more alert in the future for unwanted pests. He seemed happy that, er, my uncle and I would be buying the cottage. He's drawing up a list of suggested improvements.

As long as he doesn't suggest switching out the rope mattress on the bed, I'm sure we'll get along.

Best tackle this pile of thank you notes. The gifts for the Bonding ceremony are coming in at an alarming pace. What on earth are we going to do with three knife sets? Bad enough I've already told Severus the fondue set is a small cauldron on stilts.

Good thing I'm only ever getting married this once.
