It was an unfamiliar feeling, this being truly happy for Archie. Content he knew. Pleased, even. But this... it was like Claire was bringing out a new side of him. He fought hard not to show it in public, not yet. The towns people were still getting used to the fact that there was a stranger living in their midst, a stranger who could find out

Claire was happy and it was nice to be that way after so long. She finally found like she had somewhere she could fit in and it didn't even matter to her that most of the town was still unsure of her continued presence. At least Belle seemed to like her and even Ruby seemed to be warming up to her. Heck, she had caught Granny smiling at her once or twice.

The main reason for her happiness was Archie though. She continued to see him just like always as well as all the times they could steal away to be alone. Yes, it was hard motto show it all out in public for all the town to see but she was content to keep things quiet for now.

Carrying a grocery bag filled with goodies for the cupcakes, she sauntered up the little walkway before coming to a stop at his front door and knocking. Her heart was racing and her stomach had butterflies as she waited for him to answer.

Archie had been waiting on her. He tried to pretend he wasn't, but... he was. The door opened quickly, and he smiled brightly as he saw her standing there. He stepped back, letting her in. "Hi," he said, some of the old shyness coming back. "How've you been?"

Looking up at him as the door flew open, she smiled brightly before stepping inside. "Hi." She paused as she waited for him to close the door and then she took a second to lean up and greet him with a light kiss. She had been stealing little kisses here and there over the last couple of days, keeping them quite chaste and quick to try getting him used to the idea.

Stepping back, she held up the bag. "I've been great and I bring goodies to decorate the cupcakes with. Stuff to make the frosting and those little candy hearts to go on top. The ones that say 'kiss me' and 'cute'."

The fact that Claire was taking things slowly was great as far as Archie was concerned. It took such a huge adjustment for him to get used to the though of any relationship where he wasn't just being the voice of conscience.

"Cute?" He said with a laugh. "And I'm taking these into Granny's tomorrow?"
