Movingly bittersweet. I like the contrast between Sylar's memories of Christmas (from the good to the inevitable bad) and that hope that still exists for what it could be, something brought about by watching Mohinder.

Thank you! That hope was something I really wanted to work in. I often picture Sylar as this dude who is on the outside looking in.

Of course, I often see him as a self-centered, egotistical brat who never evolved socially past the tenth grade but that's part of the charm! He's so many things! XD

Sylar is a bitter grinch. I love how he's disappointed that Mohinder isn't anti-Christmas as well. Sylar always has held Mohinder to higher standards than he does others so any sign of conformity would disappoint him. Although I'm sure Sylar still loves his scientist ♥

He's definitely disappointed, or maybe exasperated, but if it meant being with Mohinder he might be willing to fake it. If he believed the holiday spirit would make Mohinder accept him.

The tragic thing is, he doesn't believe it; he just wishes he did.
