So of you may be unaware of the recent changes in Livejournal. (I certainly wasn't.) So I thought I'd do my best to explain them to the best of my knowledge here for you, and explain the content strike going on tomorrow ( Read more... )

Boy, I'm out of the loop. I never knew I could even upgrade to an ad free account. I've been getting ads for quite some time now and I've been on LJ for at least six years.

If you opened your account prior to March 12th, you could switch to an ad-free account (which is what I have). Your options are "Minimal features + no ads + free" "Ads + more features + free" or "No ads + even more features + paid"

You should try and find out how to get rid of the ads if you want to.
