My dog's vet wants to put her under for a teeth cleaning as well. She said it will cost $300+, and basically shames us for not brushing her teeth every single day. This was news to me! The tech whispered to us she doesn't even brush her dog's teeth every day. I've had other dogs that never got a teeth brushing in their life and still lived over 15 years. I think it's bologna to some extent.

I'm with you for the most part, but her teeth were super dark red along the gums so, and I figure I wouldn't know if the damn things were hurting her or not. I mean, she was still eating and stuff though so who knows? I know they don't get their teeth cleaned in the wild so I'm skeptical, too, but I can't bear the thought of the kitties teeth hurting. Unfortunately, I'm probably a sucker and probably just randomly shelling out 200 bucks! Lol I know that there's no way in hell I can commit to brushing the stupid things ever night. Both cats will kill me.
