What an absolutely marvelous idea for a shower theme. I don't think I have heard of someone having one, but you can bet, in the future, I'll have to use this idea. I'm so sentimental about family things, this would be a perfect idea for a gatherine. Of course, you would need someone to be appreciative of getting old things, like you or me, on the receiving end. I really love this idea.....I'll have to look at the pictures.

Well, I don't have photos for the shower, yet. My future sister in law took those so I'll post them soon (those are photos more from our trip), but yes, it was lovely. I love family heirlooms and sentimental things so it was great for me!

Book recommendation -- Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell! I got it from the library and I'm not finished yet, but so good!

Oh, and P.S. I just finished reading Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's Americanah, and it was wonderful - so good - and am now enjoying Z.Z. Packer's short story collection called Drinking Coffee Elsewhere. It's fantastic so far. A few reviewers compared Z.Z. Packer's talents to those of Flannery O'Connor (which is a huge compliment, in my book).

Kelly is so good about watching for groupon deals and coupons online. He's been able to take us to stay in some amazing places on the cheap! It's truly so good to be back on here. I really hadn't realized how much I'd missed it over the years. I missed the sense of community that I haven't found anywhere else online besides here, really. Have a great weekend! xo
