SO ON MY LAST UPDATE I had just gotten my very first super awesome LINE as a flight attendant. (Yeah, the magical schedule was in fact true!) So that was cool. Past me is totally jealous too, because dude, it's awesome! I mean, I'm KINDA looking forward to not having a con at some point because HOTELS ARE STILL EXPENSIVE, but still xDDD

OMG, I saw an internet news item about an airplane being delayed because the wing was covered in bees. Either that was you or it has been a very busy week for bees on airplanes. :)

It sounds like you have a ton of awesome stuff going on in your life. I'm super happy that you're still enjoying being a flight attendant even with some of the craziness associated with it.

NO THAT WAS ME, it totally hit the news, HuffPost had this hilarious bit comparing it to Snakes on a Plane. My captain was the funniest though because he had to call it in and his EXACT WORDS were "I don't know what the delay code is for swarm of bees." I have never been so amused by a delay, even when we were delayed due to an overwhelming need for seatbelt extensions, because that was just stupid. (Weird shit. It always happens to me. I also had a killer coffee pot- it got stuck to the brewing part everytime you brewed it and you had to wrestle it off and then HOT COFFEE EXPLOSION, annoying! But also funny.)

Life is awesome. I like it.

It IS really cool! I'm not much of a homebody, I mean, when I finally GET home I tend to just not leave unless forced because I'm so rarely here, but I also tend to run off to random places on my days off too.

I SAW THAT, I HEARTED IT ON TUMBLR, IT WAS AWESOME.

I approve of the word vomit. It balances my incoherence.

That's so awesome! My ten-years-older nextdoor neighbor growing up was a flight attendant and I thought she and the job were so cool, but alas my fear of heights prevents me from joining in on the fun. (I fly when I have to - I don't let the fear take away fabulous vacations and things - but every day? No way.) Life-is-too-wonderfully-busy is the best reason to be away from livejournal.

You know what's funny? I'm actually pretty damn nervous about heights. Airplanes, however, don't feel like heights to me because there's a floor. Every flight attendant I try to explain this too looks at me like I'm crazy but like, ferris wheels or any sort of height where I am not contained like a really tall balcony or a cliff completely unsettle me. I CAN DO IT, but it won't be my first choice. Airplanes are fun because I can look at the world way below me all spread out like a quilt and not start freaking out.

Sadly the containing business doesn't work on me. (Although this is how my dad is - he is fine on planes and tall buildings but freaked out when we visited Ireland and walked along various cliffs.) It's the visual, plus the sheer knowledge that I am that freaking high up.
