The Kitties ran and hid when we opened up the balcony door to introduce them to the ice and snow.

We have little heaps of sleet, but no snow here(Ft Hood to Lampasas).. what hit bounced or splatted as rain... Lots of icicles, a few icy spots, and lots of ice rimmed puddles, and thin ice sheeted sidewalks. Those of us who know are staying on grass or dirt & off of concrete with shoes and going gingerly with cars.
Airdale bitch and american shorthair tom go out to do their 'rounds' and come right back in. The cat looks like he is trying to pick all four feet at once.
He does not much appreciate wet/cold feet.
Sodas bought after work this morning and left in car were colder than the ones in the frig...but not yet frozen.

I move to DC, and freaking AUSTIN is getting snow, while we're in the middle of one of the hottest winters on record.

God, it was almost 80 two days ago. It's 23 now, thank god.
