Let me count the ways!

Okay, I've been trying to write only positive things online but that leaves me with almost nothing to say, so I'm going to stomp my virtual feet and rant this morning.

First off, I disagree with your positive only aspect... mostly because it's your journal girl, you write what you want, but also because if you hold in all the negative and smile, you're gonna explode.

SECONDLY, cars are demons and I am so, so sorry yours is being a bastard. If it makes you feel better, I spent $350 to get the air fixed in my car before the baby came, so I didn't have to drive a baby around in a hot black car all summer... only, turning on the air conditioner apparently over-stresses my already dying transmission, so if I actually use it, my car slips out of gear and goes nowhere :D My car is worth more on fire than it is running, and I wish I had the guts to burn it.

The money trees are coming. Today, they are seedlings in some crazy person's garden... they're not blooming yet. BUT THEY WILL, DAMNIT!

Dude, I'm gonna plant some freaking pennies. Can't do any more damage than anything else.

Yeah, to top it off, I got my contract for my new apartment this morning along with a note saying YEAH IF YOU DON'T GIVE US $465 IN THREE DAYS NO APARTMENT FOR YOU!!! Yay, off to get more loans.

I'm gonna be gibbering in a corner.

Sheesh! It sounds like you're having the summer from hell!

I hope things start straightening out for you. Have you tried going to any local churches? I don't know how it is there, but a lot of churches here have food and clothes for those who need a little help for a while. Some of them even can help pay rent or a utilities bill once or twice.

I wish you lived here. Since I work for the paper, I know all the local places that could help out. I would hook you up!

Man, I really wouldn't want to accept the church help simply because I'm not a real Believer and I feel that would be kind of blasphemous. Thanks for the suggestion, though. I'm on government assistance (which they keep trying to take away from me) but between all of these places taking my money away, it's hard.

I appreciate the good thoughts, though. Thanks, dude.

I'm pretty sure they are for anyone who needs help, not just believers (at least the places here are. I can't speak for any place else, obviously). The churches here will give it to the people who really need the help. They just don't like to give it to those who aren't trying to get back on their feet (and you are obviously not one of those people).
So if you get where you really need the help, you might want to inquire about it. I'm sure they'd be happy to help. :)

Anyway, I really hope things get better for you soon! *lots of hugs*

I am going to pay off the loans with the student loans this Fall, and then start putting my TANF into payments on said loans. *headdesk* It is all I can do at this point. Thanks for the sympathy, man. I appreciate it.
