I am sitting in the office with nothing work-related to do, and plenty to get done before the end of the day.

I called Ridiculous Loan Company to see if I could get an extra $300 to cover my immediate expenses.  They have not called me back yet (it's been two days) so I'm going to call them as soon as I go to lunch.  While I'm at lunch, I shall ( Read more... )

I LOVE Christopher Moore. Dirty job was definitely a stretch of the imagination, but it was still good. Go pick up Blood Sucking Fiends and You Suck, they're vampire books... and they're pretty hilarious.

I'm crossing my fingers for you.

I almost got Blood Sucking Fiends when I was at the bookstore last. I really want to read Fluke next, though (that's a good excuse to buy both if I ever heard it!) *lol* I've always had a soft spot for humpback whales, and if they are foul-mouthed talking whales?! Oh, heck yes!

lmao. I read blook sucking fiends while traveling with my uncle in Canada (he brought it for me), then he mailed me the sequel. He keeps going on about Island of the Sequined Love Nun and Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove. I'll have to go look up Fluke, I've never even seen that one

I've seen those two but haven't picked them up. Every time I go to the used bookstore, they've got a new one. Which is great for me! I kinda wish I could find out who was dropping them off so I can see if they're male and single. *lol*

I just recently read "A Dirty Job," "Flue" and "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" by Moore. His books are weird, but for some reason I can't get enough of that man's humor.

Oh, man, I loved Lamb. That was the first one I read. I've been picking up the others as I find them and have the cash.
