About nine months ago my friend and former Flaglerite Jessica moved to Boston in order to begin her illustrious graduate career at such a hall of learning as Harvard. She, her boyfriend, and I went to the Sam Adams brewery for the tour and tasty beverages. As we were approaching I heard a familiar bombastic voice bellow out "Jude!?" It was none other than Neck Beard the Pirate himself, Billy. He and his girlfriend were in Boston (randomly) for the weekend. It was an odd, odd, experience.

hahaha. I love those stories. I am amazed that Billy removed his presence from St. Augustine (I imagine his leaving is rather like Peter Pan's leaving of Never Never Land), but simultaneously wondering if maybe he has the power to simply teleport to bars near centers of learning? Perhaps doors in his house lead to such places?

I had a friend run into someone we knew while at a hostel in Switzerland.
And another friend ran into someone he knew at four in the morning at a truck stop five states away. Those meetings are crazy.

What's going on with you, these days? Teaching? Grad school? Book writing?
