the joke was in quotes because its not my joke. in my opinion, the joke made fun of both sides. it dates back the 50s. part of the development of jewish humor. you're themeshuggener, remember?

you can call it idiocy, douche behavior, hypocrisy, whatever. you took the bait and took it seriously. lighten up. if and when you ever want to have a serious political debate about our differences, lets not do it over the internet. besides, if you actually took the time to listen to my political opinion, you would find that we agree far more than we disagree. it was a facebook status. get over it.

Hmmm... I read the article. To me, it illustrates the decreasing lack of humor among Jewish comics over the ages. If Jon Stewart is "the true heir to Sahl," then I probably wouldn't have found Sahl to be all that funny either.

See, the problem with that statement is that kind of thing is the standard carried by most of those that are liberal. Conservatives are thieves and truly do feel entitled to all that they steal. Only liberals can be helpful to the poor, etc.

Liberals (in the modern sense) don't view taxes on people as theft, which they are. Taxes are theft. But they feel it's one's duty to like higher taxes, and that they should be grateful that they aren't made to pay more, to paraphrase our current Vice President
