Acoustic guitars with bad action can be pretty rough. I've gotten to the point where my skin's been through so much that all the fingers on my left hand sans my thumb are callused, and my pointer has two calluses to make up for the lack of one on the thumb.

I have that already from bass! Well, they've gone away a little not, but it was a MESS. I need to toughen up my fingers again...

Also, I failed to mention that I'm little, and my dad's acoustic is BIG. So I can't really hold it :_(

I'm little too, which is why I treasure my Baby Taylor which is, I think, half-size. Not as full a sound as my dad's guitar, but still pretty okay.

I've only tried bass a couple times, and only electric at that. Stand-up bass...O_o. Now THAT looks painful..
