I detest suburbs

I used to suspect that I was not fond of suburbs, but now I know for sure.

Hygienic pads? Oh, none sold at the (expensive, dammit) hotel. You have to drive to get to the nearest pharmacy -- easy, if you have a car. Without a car, it's a 1 mile treck alongside of and across highways. And back. About 50% of the route has sidewalks.

i am perfectly happy to take a bus! or a train! or a tuk tuk! i don't have to drive.
same crap encountered in Canadia, Ontario province where the nearest store is 5 miles away.

it is a widely used form of transportation in Bangkok.
