Before we begin, a gallery of pictures from the first TCR of the week, and the first panel of today's Questionable Content contains a name you may recognize! ;)
I know! He had the motherfucking Presdient and Vice President of the United States, beat that!
I was thinking about it, and it was a very smart move on their part. Because TDS and TCR reach a very politcally valuable demographic, and I think have done a lot to get politics back into younger peoples' minds. So the little shout-outs gave them positive exposure to those demographics and blah blah etc etc let's hope some fun people will give shout-outs tomorrow :D
I LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER FOR DOING THIS ^_^ Jon did have just the right amount of fun with the totally clueless "Morning Joe" folks, bah humbug. Interesting correspondent piece - I was just complaining today about how frustrating the reporting of "Breaking News" on tv can be, repeating the same two pieces of info over and over again for hours - newspaper articles require/allow more time for actual new-sgathering and consolidation of facts. Also, haven't checked out NYT website, but I love their iPhone app!
Correspondents! Interesting and intelligent interview! Jon being a pussy "coward" :-p
You'd think the Morning Joe folks would see past Jon being "angry" and pick up on the sarcasm. ;) I do like reading newspapers, I feel like they cover much more stuff and get to do longer stories TV can't. (I dislike the design of NYT's website, idk, it's kinda cluttered and the columns could be wider.)
As much as I love Jon, I do really like hearing from the correspondents too. They're all great, I think they'd be fun to see in stand-up sometime.
When I saw the bowl my first thought was omg it's the bowl from that show anais_rhys saw!
Ahaha! XD Knowing that makes me want to go rewatch the episode because now I know it's all post "playing with Tom Hanks and a puppy."
And that segment was like, the most adorable thing ever. They were just like "LET'S PLAY WITH STUFF AND HERE'S A PUPPY! :DDD" I really want a picture of Stephen holding it while Tom ran off, he was just like "awww."
(Considering how much outtake footage was probably a part of that segment, absolutely, he must've been exhausted.)
Clearly Photoshop is unpatriotic. ...Or jealous. If we're going to personify technology. I was using GIMP earlier but haven't come up with anything worth keeping yet.
...You know what I just thought? Jon on a horse. Anderpony. Mmkay I'm done now.
Man. This is one of those weeks were I really want to do all manner of things to Jon. It seems to be like that every month or so.
Anyway!
TDS:
1. My love for this whole segment? Cannot be textually rendered. I swear. From the crazy product placement through to the Napoleon Complex to Tiny Lord Wellington (one of my historical heroes, for the record) to the horse to Jon being all giggly over it.
Nothing but ♥ all round.
(Also - I suspect the horse came from the stables behind the studio.)
2. Again, here, I love Jason Jones (maybe not quite as much as I love Wyatt, but a lot) and this whole newspapers bit was genius
( ... )
Jon is having a particularly fabulous week, I agree.
TDS!
1) I was going to say Jon had way too much fun with this entire coffee thing, but he totally didn't -- I loved that entire segment. ♥ (Especially because I hate the idea of a sponsored news program.)
(...They have stables behind the studio? XD Also, idk if you saw my cracky observation -- but, very late last night, I thought: Wait. White horse. Anderpony.)
2) Jason was really good -- it's interesting to see the correspondents interviewing people. Especially people who know what's about to happen to them. ^_^
3) When I was typing out the response, those '...'s were real. I was just like "...wait, what? Jon, tell me I didn't just hear that

^_^ I want a pic of Stephen holding the puppy and looking after Tom too!!! (Also, poor Stephen must have been exhausted after that day!)
I have TONS of screencaps from these shows, but everytime I open Photoshop to make icons it crashes on me X-/
