This is fascinating. I don't think I've ever read any Muggleborn in Slytherin fics (tho' plenty of "Tom R. is beaten up until he learns to defend himself pre-HBP ones) and this is a great exploration both of Tracey herself, and the interaction between the two worlds.

Thanks for your comments, they're very encouraging.

Several times since I came to fandom I've found myself wanting to explore the question of whether there were any Muggleborns in Slytherin and if so, why they got there. When I decided to write this I set myself the task of making it as real as possible despite the fantasy elements. Your comments lead me to hope I'm getting it right.
