2007 was definitely an annus horribilis for yours truly.  2008, while nowhere near so bad, hasn’t exactly been a bundle of laughs, either.

The death of my Father-in-Law in May, although long expected, was still hard for hubby and for my Mother-in-Law, who has been extremely brave. Diagnosis of a recurrence of the tumour on the site of my mastectomy

I've been wondering how you were doing. I am incredibly envious about your medieval festival. That's exactly the sort of thing I would have wanted to see. Do they do this annually or was it a once-in-a-lifetime sort of event?
