Oh. My. God. This is absolutely brilliant. The ending, especially, gave me the chills. I also love the atmosphere and the subtle stylistic changes in each section. And the little bits of repetition with the subtle differences as time passes... lovely. *shudders* Nicely done.

Like reading a good, fast-paced historical novel. Chillingly plausible, a great AU story.

You did an excellent job with an intriguing premise. The idea that the WIS had gotten far out of hand and is pressuring the PM into something he doesn't want is chilling. Good job!

The WIS have all sorts of historical parallels. It's rather depressing.
