Well, I got my fic finished but hubby's fishing trip was a complete disaster.
About three-quarters of an hour after he'd left the house I got a call saying he'd broken down. The brakes had failed completely. Luckily it happened on a quiet stretch of road at a time when no other cars were about. Over a week later I still get the heebie-jeebies

Dogs and small children do make it easier to get talking to people!
I still think of England as 'home' in a sense too. I'll always say, "Oh, we're going home for Christmas", meaning to the UK! And I'm so sorry to hear about 3. I hope you are in good health now. I can certainly understand that it gives you nightmares. *hugs*

It's odd this concept of "home", isn't it? I have a lovely house here and on the whole I'm very happy but I still talk about going home - meaning the UK - too. I suppose it's because England is where I was born and bought up.
Ref 3. Everything is fine at the moment, thanks. Yes, it still gets to me at times but I try and get on with life, regardless.
