The UK trip may have been great for my mental health but it did my sciatica no good at all. Three courses of anti-inflammatory tablets did very little but keep it at bay, so it was back to the doctor again. Our regular doctor was away. His locum examined me thoroughly then decided to prescribe a course of strong anti-inflammatory injections.

Me too, and I echo your sentiments. I suppose it was bound to happen eventually as I've had trouble on and off with my lower back since my son was born. I did the Alexander Technique for a while about ten years ago and that helped enormously. Serves me right for letting things slip. I'm trying to get back into it now with hubby's help. He did it far longer than I did and remembers much more.

Thanks! It's been an important psychological barrier for me. Up until now I've had myself convinced that there's no way I could ever enjoy a novel in French the same way I enjoy one in English without being fluent.
