"i think that in general people in high school are both old enough and mature enough to make their own decisions on drugs and alcohol.People, especially young people, are overly eager to do what "everyone else" does. In fact, this goes on further than high school, further than college, all the way into the truly adult world. Just look at cars and houses and gadgets and gizmos. Heck, there are entire empires dedicated to making adults "hip" (sharper image, for example). i joined, honestly, because all my friends were doing it and i liked the asembly one is one too many. I had never been to Know Limits, and i didnt know that SIT did kids day. Since i have been on the team, ive felt it has been not what i expected and or wanted it to be. i have broken my contract twice, and i dont think of myself as a hypocrit because of it. i support your decision not to join, not because i agree with you in your reasoning, but because you are not joining it to have one more thing in your life, and you are not joining it like i did, because your friends werwe doing it and you had false ideas of what it would be like.
