Awesome, right? Oy. The story goes that the team's original general manager thought the vertically striped socks made his players look taller. The guy was clearly insane. There was a public burning of the socks in 1962 and the city of Denver rejoiced, the horror was over. Until now -- Throwback Hell.

Right? Almost so ugly they're cool, but I can't quite make myself go that far. Both colors are almost exactly the wrong shade.

Heh. It's pretty amazing, really. I like what Gaffney's (#10) got going there, with the twist to make them look sort of queasy candycane striped. Yikes.
