that I should have known this shit was gonna happen.  So, the game store died before it could even get started.  John decided to tell me last night, after weeks for preparation, that he doesn't really want to be part of the game shop.  Well, it's actually the fact that John and Holly decided that it would interfere with their business they want to ( Read more... )

Wow, that sucks. Really really sucks. However, you and Dave have put a lot of thought and effort into this. I think, even though you're disappointed, that you should keep working at it. You still have a lot of prep to do until you are even ready to physically be in a store every day. A lot can happen between now and then. Maybe Dawn can help out, and maybe you can work around your school schedule. I know it seems hopeless and you just want to give up, but keep going if you want it bad enough. Keep going.

If there was something I could do you should tell me. I would love to help. I actually expressed that to John at one point. I'm not saying I'll do much good, I don't know alot about the functioning business but I do know about counting drawers and doing cashier work. If/when you needed a clerk I could do that. I think you should still go for it. Lexy is right about the amount of time you guys have before you will actually be in a store. Don't give up, I got excited for you guys, it would be sweet to know the owners of a game shop in town, plus, I've already seen the kids in school who would be frequenting your store. It's gonna rock if you don't give up.
