email is the most irritating form of communication in my opinion, i get it from my mom all the time. i doubt my opinion matters much to anyone anyway

that is true, i don't like letter writing. i like coke with lime and the machine at wal-mart ripped me off earlier, so they gave me a dollar and i settled for a big red vanilla float. have you tried it?

Doesn't seem that you really need to get e-mail.
Based on this entry. You write one message everyone responds. Though e-mail is fun to get, it is rather tedious (as previously mentioned). You've gotten 9 different people to write to you. Which means not only did they want to talk to you, but they care about your thoughts.
Taking time to read a livejournal shows more effort because no one asks you to do it. It's completely voluntary. So, in all I guess I'm just say that e-mails are great, but coming back to a ton of comments on your lj is too.
