in my literary criticism class we're learning about psychoanalytic criticism and i was reading about how everyone (theoretically) has this fear of death because when we die, because no matter what anyone may think or believe, we die alone...even if we die in a plane crash with 130 other people, each of us die our own private death all by ourselves ( Read more... )

you don't seem so overwhelming

the thoughts you portray are a bit daft, but they make sense..i think you just generalized it.

i see death as a completion, rather than a step to something else

Thanks for the compliment...
And my thoughts do not get shared. I do not document my thoughts...

But to comment productively on your post: I don't think anyone knows you who are, no matter if you try to make it that way or not.

i've found people are afraid to be themselves because, when they finally are alone whether it be loss, death,or desertion..they have to be alone with themselves. And like you said,if someone has left them who truly knows them,or doesn't truly know them...there are seas of regrets you might have to face..whether it's letting them know too much,or not knowing enough.most people just work up to liking who they see in the mirror, and then just stop.

i,personally,am not scared of death
i like myself, regardless of my many downfalls
i wouldn't mind being alone except for the boredom

my sense of self is defined by the sensation of my instinctive character, rather than the analysis of it.

it is a rare grasp, but it's the one i hold closest
