The thing is, Dom’s always had this tendency to rush headlong towards new horizons - his childhood cupboards were crammed with the remnants of forgotten obsessions and now he’s an adult, nothing’s really changed.
People like to make jokes about his low boredom threshold, but Dom knows that, really, they're just jealous of his enquiring mind. And, yeah, three years of the same thing’s starting to drag, he feels… restless and kind of wishes they’d just kill Charlie already so he can move on, try something else.
But, reading the scene still stings a little, once the script’s in his hand.
