You were my anchor when stormy sea threatened to destroy my very essence. My protector, my sounding board, and my dear friend - which you proved not only by holding me when the tears flowed, or providing intelligent conversation, but by letting go when crashing was necessary to salvage what was left of me. Shrewdly, you recognized the dangers of the masks I had carefully built. Handing me a hammer, you walked away, and though I did fall, I believe that your decision put me on the path to be able to splinter those masks and learn who I am. We've been to hell and back, all tidily tucked into a handbasket, but no matter what happens, I will always think of you fondly.
I know who I am. I like who I am. And I know, without a doubt, that I have come into my own in large part due to you. Thank you, my dear friend, for all that you have been, all that you are, and all that you will be. Wherever our journeys lead, I hope they continue to cross paths.
Now, now. None of that. Here's where I prove you wrong.
I am thrilled that over the last several months we have had more opportunities to hang out and get to know each other. You are incredibly interesting, in conversation and in nature. A man with a good heart, I believe in you, and I count myself lucky to be someone you choose to spend time with and someone in which you take interest. Don't sell yourself short. I have faith in you, in your strength and generosity, and in your ability to reach for the stars and hold one in the palm of your hand.
Vibrance and a passion for life are the first things that come to mind. Even when I am barely paying attention to LJ, I tend to make sure that I read your postings. Your devotion to your husband and your children is phenomenal. While it may not seem so at the moment, I believe that this universe has something wonderful in store for you. Dream your dreams, for I have faith that your will can make it reality.
From the moment we met, I felt a connection. You are bright, vivacious, beautiful, loving, and incredible. Every time I think of you, it brings a smile to my face. I foresee a lasting friendship, colored with our combined passion, loyalty, and trust. Your talents with jewelry and song are breathtaking. You shine with life, dear one, and I am honored to be a part of yours.
The bestest roommate ever! You calmly survive the hormonal silliness once a month, as well as the silly fights The Girl and I have, and you do so without losing respect or adoration for either of us. You paralyze me in rapture every time you grace us with song. The time that you are spending to work with me on singing is giving me a new confidence in my own talent, which is so very precious and invaluable. I am eagerly awaiting the day when some lucky girl realizes that you are a priceless treasure. I will cheer for you, support you, and adore you for the rest of my days.
