Twins/ ambilical cords

ok so i have 2 questions for all u smart kids out there.

1. how does the whole twins ambilical cord work? is there 2, is it one split? does anyone know for sure?

2. where exactly does the ambilical cord start?

that it. some one please awnser... i really wanna know

i cant help you there but ill have to ask my mom, shes a nurse. today i wondered if pop corn was a vegetable. its still corn?

the ambilical cord is split in most cases. In few cases, the fetuses(spelling??) are connected at the stomach. Then there are the few where there's twins but only one ambilical cord, and one dies. Sad thing i suppose. For question two: think you belly button. Outtie=ambilical cord cut further out and shrinks in, but not in enough to be and innie. Innie=cut closer to the stomach, and shrinks in far enough to be considered one.

*Note* - This is what I've always thought, and to me it makes sense.
