Election Day...

It is election day and like most people, I am anxiously awaiting the results of this election. It is always interesting to me to see and hear people I know and respect say things that I completely and wholeheartedly disagree with. I'm hearing all of my "intellectual" friends talk about voting outside the moral issues. I am the first to say that ( Read more... )

I hope that this in no way was directed at myself. I certainly respect your opinion and applaud your convictions and the stance you take in defense of them, as I have my convictions against many of the same things as youself. I voted in good faith for the ideologies that would be effected, and for change in what I feel is currently immoral. I just believe that our direction and hopes are the same, we just choose a different route in which to achieve them.

No, darling, this was not directed at you in particular. I also respect your opinions. I believe that people with vastly different opinions, who manage to love and respect one another, and maintain a true friendship are what make the world go round. I just felt the need, as did yourself, to espouse my stance and beliefs. I too voted for the ideologies that were most important to me, and I am at peace with my decision. As long as I am confident in my beliefs that is all I need to know. Darling, you are extremely precious to me and no political disagreement will change that.

well one thing we can all agree on is that you guys should buy me stuff. you know non partisan shopping for heath. that will bridge the gap. yeah...hell yeah.
