A/N: This is a cut-out for a piece that I'm writing, which will briefly reference events below. I was having a blockage with the other so I wrote this to clear it. It's another Paris piece and didn't turn out exactly as planned, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. Unbeta'd. No warnings. Spoilers through Jet Lag.

I think I wrote the "house on fire" line before I knew what I was doing. LOL. The Eminem/Rhianna song was stuck in my head and it definitely comes from that. It's why I chose "I love the way you lie" as the title... plus there was the double entendre with the word "lie" that I just couldn't avoid. :D

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! The longer piece is still having trouble taking shape, but I've got the first 1500 words or so, so it's started at least. I just need the time to put it all down...

This was really, really good. I love protective!Tony. You wrote them in character and this was very well done. Thanks for sharing!

Protective!Tony is probably my favorite. Abby said it best: "Soft and goofy on the outside, but 100% rock on the inside." It affects him deeply when the women around him are in danger (or dead) so I always see him as a champion, someone who will do what it takes to fix the problem, even if he didn't do the breaking. Ziva just happens to be my favorite of the girls to pair him with. There's so much potential that it just becomes hard to keep the theories inside. LOL

Thanks for saying they're in character. It's so hard to keep them that way and expose something at the same time. -hugs-
